Vai Beach, Crete

For those who enjoy nature, the palm beaches of Vai offer a sanctuary like no other. Situated on the island of Crete, the Vai Beach is a popular tourist spot and generally very crowded.

It is easily accessible by public buses from Sitia, and by car, although car parking spaces are at a premium.

On the beach

The beach is open only during daytime, and there is only one restaurant. However, the food is good, and the prices reasonable. Toilets are available, however, for a fee. The beach is covered with beach beds and umbrellas, which provides a tranquil spot to simply bask in the sun and enjoy nature in all its glory.
