Seventy-Five Mile Beach, Fraser Island

The 75 Mile Beach is a stretch of white sand with the length of several beaches with a normal size. The size, however, is not the only thing special about the beach.

Things to do

Swimming at the beach is not advised, due to a high number of tiger sharks in the area. However, pools of natural rock featuring champagne like bubbles, known as the Champagne Pools, are available for those seeking safe swimming.

Visitors looking for natural beauty can visit the Eli creek, which is used as a runway and highway due to the hard packed sands being great for off-roading and landing planes. Also, Indian Head outcrop — a popular place for viewing dolphins, stingrays, turtles, fish, and sharks.
