Playa Norte, Isla Mujeres

The Playa Norte Beach in Isla Mujeres is loved for its stunning amber sunsets, white sands, and warm crystal waters.

There are no surfing possibilities on this beach, so you can stand and relax in the cool shallows.

Getting there

To reach the beach, you need to drive by car from Puerto Juarez 5 km north to the dock in Punta Sam. There, you take a ferry for about 292 pesos to reach the island.

On the beach

Once you are there, there are many amenities. Beach tables where you can order drinks and food, umbrellas for hire and beach massages are all available. You can also bring your own cooler box and relax under the umbrellas. Also, showers and toilets are available at the beach.

Points to note: you need to arrive at the ferry 30 min before departure. The ferry ride itself is 45 min. It is easy to walk to the beach from the ferry dock, and it is suggested that you go to the north beach for the most stunning scenery.
