Playa de las Catedrales, Ribadeo

Situated on the coast of Cantabria, Playa de las Catedrales is only about 10 km west of the town of Ribadeo.

During high tide, it is ideal for a swim or a walk along the cliffs. But it is during low tide that the true magnificence of the beach is revealed. Constantly subject to the altering forces of the water and waves, Playa de las Catedrales has a collection of incredible caves, tall arches, and other curious land formations that are simply a delight.

Visitors can approach the beach through steps that lead down from the cliffs.

Amenities at the beach

Some cafes and public toilets are on the top of the steps. There is also lots of free parking space available for those who are exploring Spain in rented vehicles.

Lifeguards at Playa de las Catedrales are on duty in summer seasons only.
