Playa de Bolonia, Tarifa

A beautiful stretch of white sand and green and blue water, Playa de Bolonia is a testament to the wild and violent exquisiteness of the Atlantic.

Situated next to the ex-fishing village of Bolonia, and 20 km from the more crowded and surfer’s dream of Tarifa, the Bolonia beach is an unspoiled haven which has grown in popularity due to the excavation of Roman Ruins nearby.

The existence of sandy dunes and hidden coves along the beach offer a marvelous adventure to people who love to explore.

Visitors can easily get there by car, and there is a car parking in the nearby Lentiscal village.

Also, there is a bus service between Tarifa and Bolonia in Jul and Aug.

Exploring the beach

Many restaurants and beach bars can be found in the nearby area. Those who prefer a more active day need only stroll down to the south side where water sports take place.

Strong winds that flow here are a special source of delight to the kite surfers. Those traveling with families will find the central part of the beach more conducive to their ease. Additionally, it has a lifeguard lookout and also a Red Cross first aid point.

Sunbeds and sunshades are easily available to rent, and free parking is a major plus point.
