A real bonus for visitors to Pensacola Beach is the free trolley service which runs from Portofino Boardwalk to all major hotels and restaurants. The service runs from May 16 to Labor Day.
The four main beaches – Casino Beach, Quietwater Beach, Park East, and Chickenbone have lifeguards on duty. During the peak season (Jun-Aug), lifeguards are on duty 7 days a week from 9:30 am to 6 pm. From mid-April to mid-October lifeguards are on part-time duty. Visitors should take note that area is renowned for strong riptides, so must pay attention to safety flags.
Most of the beaches have restroom and change room facilities. The most popular is the Casino Beach, where one can find beach umbrellas, a fishing pier, police presence, and vendors.
