Patara Beach, Antalya

One of the Mediterranean’s treasures, the Patara Beach in Antalya province is famous as a nesting site for the Carreta-Carreta turtles.

The beach has a length of 18 km and a width that sometimes reaches 200-300 m. The presence of excavated roman ruins nearby and the surrounding woods make it a haven for the adventurous soul.

The ruins also mean that the area is an archaeological site, and hence no construction is possible near it. However, accommodation is easily available in the village of Patara, which is a mere 3.5 km away from the Patara Beach. There is a direct road, so renting a car, or a taxi is the best way to get there.

Entry fee

The protected nature of the area means that there is an entry fee.

When on the beach, you can find sunbeds and umbrellas for rent, free showers and changing rooms.
