Nalaguraidhoo Beach

Located on one of the most picturesque islands in the entire South Ari atoll, Nalaguraidhoo Beach is famous for its white sands and sapphire blue lagoon.

Sometimes called Sun Island and renowned for its natural beauty, it can be reached by seaplane from the Maldives’ capital Male. The island is small, like others in this atoll, and is easily traversed on foot.

On the beach

The entire beach is all about leisure and relaxation. Here a tourist can enjoy:

  • admiring the views
  • exploring the diverse food of the area
  • or a wonderful sunset while tasting some great wine.

There is an abundance of activities to enjoy on this beach, including jet skis and water-skiing, or parasailing and windsurfing for the more adventurous. There are also plenty of off-shore excursions, such as stingray feeding and snorkeling with Whale Sharks, which can grow up to 12 meters and weigh up to 20 tons.

The beach is the famous site for snorkeling. Thanks to the very clear waters in the area, so people can have a once in a lifetime experience admiring the beautiful and diverse fauna and vegetation in the sea.
