Traveling by car

Vacationers driving to the beach can take the US 17 Business Route (The Kings Highway). The road goes directly through the Grand Strand, from the North Carolina State line to Georgetown. It is important for travelers to note that the Kings Highway always experiences heavy traffics during summers.

Besides, travelers driving can take the US 17 Bypass which runs from the North end of Myrtle Beach to Murrells Inlet. The 17 Bypass passes near the ocean and can be a great option for quicker travel. But along this road contains businesses and stop lights. Furthermore, the SC 31 road, or the Carolina Bays Parkway as it is known, can be helpful for those driving along the Grand Strand Beach. This route is free of red lights and a true bypass for travelers who either want to proceed a few miles to the North or south along the Beach.

In general, directions to Myrtle Beach depends on the vacationer’s location. But, the Interstate 73 corridor is a direct route for visitors to get to the Grand Strand.

Traveling by air

Travelers going to Myrtle Beach by air will arrive at Myrtle Beach International Airport. The Robert M. Grissom Parkway Road which runs from the airport can is the next option to drive along while staying within the Myrtle Beach limits.
