Manly Beach

Manly Beach in the New South Wales, is a lovely destination offering a relaxed feel away from the buzz of the heart of Sydney.

Being a pleasant and enjoyable place with long stretches of soft sand in Northern Sidney, it is surrounded with lots of markets, cycling tracks, small shops, night clubs, restaurants, and dive bars.

How to reach the beach

It takes thirty min from Sydney’s main ferry terminal by public ferry to reach the Manly Beach. Also, you can use private ferry services — each trip takes around eighteen min.

Events, activities and services on the beach

The beach offers a laid back attitude and hosts many festivals and events organised by a community of volunteers and businesses. The aim is to provide unique experiences to the visitors in the region.

The beach facilities include:

  • a picnic area
  • an ocean swimming pool
  • a playground for the children
  • public toilets and showers
  • a good parking area
  • kiosk
  • several cafes

Additionally, lifeguards are present to patrol the beach the whole year round.

Visitors at the Manly Beach can take part in swimming, snorkelling, diving, and surfing.

The Australian open of Surfing is conducted in February every year with expert surfers riding the waves.
