The Iztuzu Beach is a natural barrier between the Dalyan river and the Mediterranean sea. It is located near the town of Dalyan, on southwest coast of Turkey.
Clear blue waters, clean white sands, and stunning views of the Mediterranean on one side and the lake on the other, give this beach a natural appeal.
The beach remains open only for twelve hours, 8 am – 8 pm, and the entry is free. There are some facilities available such as public toilets and cafes. However, the protected nature of the beach means that the only water based activity to be found is swimming.
Getting to the beach
Reaching the Iztuzu Beach can be a remarkable experience when driving through the mountains or taking the boat on the river. During the tourist season, there is a public bus service from Dalyan.
