About 200 km from Thailand’s capital Bangkok, in the Gulf of Thailand, lies the famed Ko Samet Island. It is known for its white sandy beaches, crystal clear waters, and lush surroundings. Hat Sai Kaew Beach is the longest beach and the most popular beach in the area.
The island has a total of about 14 major beaches. They all lie in a national park after the state declared most parts of the archipelago as protected sites.
The cruisers and longboats depart from Ba Phae on the mainland to the east coast in only a few min as the distances are pretty short.
Activities on the beach
Ko Samet offers visitors such activities as snorkeling, windsurfing, banana boats, and even jet skis. Most of the events and fun activities are closer to the Northern and Eastern end.
