Located near the popular Bonita Beach, the Barefoot Beach offers visitors a glimpse of untouched beauty, rare in Florida Keys area.

Being mostly quiet place, the beach, however, offers a full range of services, such as showers, toilets, and wheelchair access. Beach vendors sell food and drink during the high season.

Getting to the beach

The Barefoot Beach can be accessed by traveling through the Bonita Beach area along the Barefoot Beach road, about 15 min off the I-75.

The road itself is fascinating, paved with red bricks and lined with multi-million dollar mansions. The tranquil, undeveloped beach at the end of it comes as a surprise to travelers.

For people looking for a serene or romantic walk along the beach, it is well worth the extra drive.
